Abstract

This research aims to describe expressive speech acts in the Webtoon digital comic "Ngopi Yuk" as Indonesian language teaching material in Senior High School. Expressive speech acts in digital comics were chosen because this study uses data sources that have not been used in previous research. The data source in this research is digital comics on Webtoon. Webtoon contains a variety of digital comics of various types, ranging from action, drama, comedy, fantasy and science fiction. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with pragmatic and agile data analysis techniques. The pragmatic matching method is used to identify linguistic units according to the emotions or consequences that occur in the dialogue between Webtoon digital comic characters. The agile method is used to determine markers of expressive speech acts in dialogue between characters. The results of this research contained fifty-two data with six types of expressive speech acts. There are six expressive speech acts expressing pleasure, six data acts of happiness, eleven data expressive speech acts of praising, ten data acts of expressive apologizing, nine expressive speech acts of complaining, and ten expressive speech acts of saying thank you
