Abstract

Stress causes difficulty concentrating, difficulty remembering and understanding material, and often completing assignments late, which can cause anxiety, irritability, and frustration. Self-healing is intended as a process of treatment or healing that is carried out by oneself through a process of one's own belief and is also supported by the environment and external supporting factors. The purpose of this research is to find out the experience of self-healing in academic stress situations. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. In this study there were 5 participants who would be involved with predetermined criteria. The researcher uses a semi-structured interview data collection method with the aim that respondents have freedom in presenting data that can be more varied and in-depth. This study uses thematic analysis techniques. Academic stress experienced by students arises from external and internal factors that have a negative impact on difficulties in emotional control, self-control, interpersonal communication, and overthinking. With this impact, the subject tries to motivate himself, understand himself, evaluate himself and his problems, be open, and feel grateful for a better life.
