Abstract
Da'wah is the process of conveying Islamic messages that have benefits in improving the quality of a person to prepare for life. Changes in the rate of information through the media provide convenience and alternatives for the public in accessing their needs. The use of da'wah in the digital era certainly has difficulties in dealing with problems such as challenges in accessing YouTube. Dakwah is also a means of inviting or appealing to the public to participate in or deepen Islamic studies. This study discusses the strategy for utilizing the YouTube platform as a da'wah information need for the people of Yogyakarta through the YouTube channel "Bil Musthofa". The research method uses qualitative methods through a descriptive approach. The theory in this research raises Everret M.Rogers' theory of innovation diffusion. The results of this research show that there are several things that are of interest in YouTube @Bil Musthofa such as thumbnails and live streaming. Activities through YouTube are becoming a trend in conveying information such as preaching. The conclusion of this study is that there are 4 stages in the implications of YouTube with the innovation diffusion process and the obstacles that are felt by the community in applying YouTube.
