Abstract
This research was conducted to find the concept of overcoming violence with transcendental methods in the Police. The aims and benefits of the research are in accordance with POLRI duties to prevent people from becoming victims of crime, to maintain order, to protect the public from crime and loss or harm. POLRI task using the Civil Police principle is to enforce the law using soft methods as a deterrent. The research method uses legal research with a qualitative non-doctrinal approach. Violence is an unlawful act committed by one or more persons which causes physical or non-physical injury to another person which causes harm or experiences negative impacts in various forms. Violence is a natural human condition that is controlled by irrational and anarchistic urges as homo homini lupus. In a crowd, people will easily imitate other people actions and get out of control so that they take aggressive, destructive, cruel and sadistic actions that lead to criminal acts. The causes of mass violence, namely: (1) humans have destructive instincts that have the potential to commit violence as a manifestation of the aggressive and destructive nature of every human being; (2) humans have an aggressive nature that encourages violence; (3) the masses have emotional bonds because of the similarity of desires, goals, and ideas according to Ibn Khaldun terminology called asobiyah, namely humans are not willing when members of their group experience difficulties or humiliation so that with all efforts they will restore the honor of the group; (4) the masses are affected by external conditions in the form of equality of norms as rules and habits. The research produced findings, namely the transcendental paradigm used in dealing with violence with a religious touch to restore human nature according to Surat Ali Imran: 110 which has prophetic ethics, namely amar ma'ruf, nahi munkar, and tu'minuna billah to make people aware that actions must be accountable to Allah Swt. The conclusion is the concept of transcendental coping with The Soft Hand of Society, namely the synergy between Asmaul Husna and Accelerate Culture Transformation, namely: (1) matching, namely the same identity; (2) mirroring, namely remembering Allah with the holy verses of the Koran; (3) facing, namely facing a smiling face; and (4) leading, namely guiding the masses so that they are not easily provoked and carried away by emotions as well as providing understanding and good examples by always doing good because violence is a sin and is prohibited by Allah Swt
