Abstract
The learning method is a systematic and orderly process carried out by teachers in delivering material to students. The learning method serves so that the learning process runs effectively and efficiently to achieve predetermined learning objectives. Therefore, the use of the right learning method is very influential on the learning outcomes obtained by students. This study aims to describe the implementation of the maharotul kalam learning method on ushul fiqh at the Mumtaza Islamic Boarding School Banjarnegara. The type of research used is qualitative research with field research techniques and phenomenological approaches. Data collection techniques are through interviews, observation, and document studies. Data validity techniques are performed using triangulation and method triangulation. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that the implementation of the maharotul kalam learning method on the material of jurisprudence at the Mumtaza Islamic Boarding School was divided into three stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation stage. In the preparation stage, what is done by the teacher is to determine teaching materials, sort out materials, compile syllabi, annual programs, and semester programs. In the implementation stage in the class, teachers use direct strategies, group strategies, sentence pattern exercises, and speech exercises. While at the evaluation stage, teachers conduct assessments in the form of assignments to make videos, daily assessment or formative assessment, and end-of-semester assessment or summative assessment. The purpose of using the maharotul kalam method is for students to understand and be able to explain a rule of jurisprudence with an explanation using Arabic. In the learning process at Pesantren Mumtaza there are various inhibiting and supporting factors. Inhibiting factors are student habits, pesantren do not have their own package books, and teacher limitations. Supporting factors are clear curriculum design and regeneration from the beginning.
