Abstract

This study aims to reveal the function of sunlight in the perspective of the interpretation of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia in Surat Noah paragraph 16 which is associated with ecological issues and the application of natural resource management to maintain air temperature quality. The research uses qualitative methods with an ecological approach. The data used is descriptive which is collected by means of documentation and then analyzed with descriptive analysis techniques. The primary source of research data is the book of tafsir by Lajnah Pentashihan Mushaf Al-Qur'an of the Republic of Indonesia, while secondary sources are books of tafsir, journal articles, website articles, and science books. The results showed that the sun is a source of energy for humans and the energy is in the form of light and heat, which are very vital needs for life on earth with what it produces makes the sun a giver of vitamin D, Being a driving element in photosynthesis in plants and as a reserve of human energy. But there is a condition caused by humans, so that it changes the proper nature of the sun and causes an increase in air temperature or what is referred to as a global warning which results in an increase in air temperature above the average that should be and has a bad effect on life on earth. Therefore, it is necessary to apply natural resource management to preserve nature.
