Abstract

The aim of the study was to identify and analyze the effect of land area, labor and capital on sweet potato productivity in West Sumatra Province for the 2017-2021 period. This research is a quantitative study by taking panel data, while the data used is time series data from 2017-2021 and cross-sectional data for all cities and regencies in the Province of West Sumatra. This research uses panel data analysis as a data processing tool. From the regression results it is known that the coefficient of land area is 0.004 with a probability of 0.013, the labor coefficient is 0.010 with a probability of 0.017, and the capital coefficient is 0.557 with a probability of 0.007. The benefits of research as input especially for the government of West Sumatra Province in increasing the productivity of sweet potatoes as one of the leading agricultural products that can increase Regional Original Income (PAD). This study combines the variables of land area, labor and capital as independent variables that influence labor productivity based on knowledge that research has never been done before.
