Abstract
One of the media that can improve children's emotional intelligence is role playing. The learning method provided by the teacher is also able to influence children's emotional intelligence. Children between the ages of 5 and 6 years who are students of BA Aisyiyah Palur 1 are the subjects of this quantitative research approach using the one group pretest-posttest design model. This research method is an experimental quantitative method with the one group pretest-posttest design model and the number of subjects is 12 children. who are children aged 5-6 years who are BA Aisyiyah Palur 1 students. The purpose of this study was to ascertain how role playing affects children's emotional intelligence. The data were obtained through observation. The scale used in this study was the emotional intelligence scale. The results analysis using the Wilcoxon test. The Wilcoxon test produces data with a Z value of -3.064 and an asymp sig (2-tailed) value of 0.002, both of which are below the alpha threshold of 5% (0.05) so that it indicates an increase in emotional intelligence that occurs in the subject after receiving treatment in the form of role playing activities.
