Abstract
Life Skill is an important component that needs to be implemented in educational institutions at every level. Especially for dormitory students who will contribute a lot to society and the world of work. This is because competition in this modern era does not only focus on academic intelligence but also on the life skills that everyone has. In practice, mahasantri do not walk alone but are given training, escort and evaluation by an experienced team so that this will have a quality impact on self-development for dormitory students. This study describes the Implementation of Life Skills Education in an effort to develop student self-development in student dormitories. This type of research is qualitative research (field research) with a phenomenological approach. Collecting data through the method of observation, interviews and documentation. The subjects in this study were the leaders, administrators and students of Pesma KH. Mas Mansur UMS. Data analysis using data reduction and verification. The results of the study show that the implementation of Life Skills Education for female students has a very positive impact before entering the community and social world. This is shown by the students who are involved in life skill activities in the hostel can develop their potential and have extensive relationships with relatives, administrators and leaders. Apart from that, the opportunity to join in following life skills provides an opportunity to be active in various hostel activities Keyword : Life Skill, Self Management, Boarding School
