Abstract
Noise is one of the physical factors that contribute to occupational diseases that can cause work accidents. Sound intensity in the workplace not only causes hearing loss, such as a decrease in the worker's hearing threshold, but can also cause non-audiomotor disturbances (disorders that do not directly affect hearing), namely stress, accelerated pulse, increased blood pressure, irritability, and communication disorders and reduce work enthusiasm which will lead to increased absenteeism. This study aims to determine the relationship of noise to the work stress of workers who work in the production department of PT. Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk Boyolali. The method used in this research is a quantitative method. Respondents in this study were concrete production workers at PT. Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk where the sample was taken using a proportional random sampling method, with a total sample of 102 respondents. Data analysis techniques used univariate and bivariate linear regression models. The results of this study indicate that noise affects work stress with a significance level of 0.042 <0.05. Then, it was also found that there were 49 respondents (89.1%) in the noisy category in the moderate stress group, and for the non-noisy category variables in the moderate group there were 30 respondents (63.8%). The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between noise and work stress. with a very weak correlation level. Suggestions for Companies to carry out noise control in the workplace.
