Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the self-disclosure of women with breast cancer in the Lovely Pink Solo community. Research is a type of qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The data used in this study consisted of two types of data, namely primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques used in this study using interview and observation techniques. The data validation technique used in this study is the triangulation technique. Meanwhile, data analysis techniques in this study used interactive data analysis. The results of this study found that self-disclosure of women with breast cancer in the Lovely Pink Solo community was carried out through 4 quadrants, namely open areas, blind areas, hidden areas and unknown areas. In the open area quadrant, the three informants often told fellow members of the Lovely Pink Solo community experiences and things that had to be done as experiences that had been experienced either when meeting in person or through the Whatsapp (WA) group. In the blind area, it is known that self-disclosure can create various positive impacts. In the hidden area quadrant, the informant does not tell personal matters to his close friends at the LPS. Furthermore, in Unknown areas or unknown areas by disclosing personal and intimate matters to fellow LPS members who are considered close friends. Such as what it feels like when you are diagnosed with cancer and how your family accepts it..
