Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out which sectors are the leading ones in Karanganyar Regency for the 2017-2020 period. In this research using data in the form of time series taken from Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), the data is the result of observations on the GRDP of Karanganyar Regency at constant prices of 2010 according to business fields in 2017-2020 period compared to the GRDP of Central Java Province at constant prices of 2010 according to business fields in 2017-2020 period. The methods used to analyze leading sectors are Location Quotient (LQ) and Shift Share (SS). The research results obtained from these methods shows that the leading sector in Karanganyar Regency in 2017-2020 period are processing industry sector; water supply, waste management, and recycle sector; accommodation and food supply sector; and real estate sector.
