Abstract

In every medium to low industry that produces drip products, bottle filling is usually done manually. The manual filling process is slow, the product spills frequently, and it is difficult to equalize the volume of each filled bottle making it less efficient. Large industries generally use PLCs in the process of filling drip bottles, but for small industries PLC is an expensive tool so they prefer to use pipettes to fill drip bottles. To increase the speed of filling drip bottles, and reduce the possibility of product spillage, researchers apply Arduino as a production demonstration machine so as to increase the efficiency of the drip bottle filling process which is affordable for the medium to lower industries. The research method used by researchers is problem formulation and problem analysis from field surveys, then literature study for the initial process of finding references, then researchers carry out hardware design, software design or programs in C language (software), machine testing to test machine performance, and the last is data collection. The work of an Arduino-based automatic small drip bottle-filling machine can show the performance of the bottle-filling process in detail. The filling process becomes more precise according to the dosage produced, which can reduce the risk of product spillage but cannot match the working speed of machines that use PLCs.
