Abstract
Drug Related Problems (DRPs) are events related to drug therapy that can actually or potentially interfere with achieving the desired therapeutic goals. This research aims to find out the presence of DRPs in PICU and NICU patients which include (1) contraindication (2) drug interactions and (3) inappropriate of drug doses, because there are still many occurrences of DRPs from that category. This research is a type of observational research with retrospective data retrieval and descriptive analysis. Research subjects were selected using the purposive sampling method. The inclusion criteria of this study were neonates and pediatric patients aged 0-18 years who were treated in the PICU and NICU UNS Hospital in 2017-2018. Exclusion criteria from this study were patients in the PICU and NICU UNS Hospital in 2017-2018 who did not receive drug therapy. The obtained data were analyzed using the guidelines. Based on the analysis results, from 51 patients with 237 drug administrations it was found 5 (2,11%) contraindication incidents and 24 (10,13%) drug interactions incident, and from 188 in 237 administered drugs that can be analyzed, there were 173 (92,02%) DRPs incidents in the category of inappropriate drug doses.
