Abstract
The bus driver is an important element of moving modes of transportation public/public city bus transportation. The driving job carries risks related to musculoceletal disorders individual characteristics of the driver, including age, body mass index, smoking habits, work period and work posture. This research aims to determine the relationship of factors that occur in musculoskeletal events Disorders (MSDs) for Batik Solo Trans (BST) bus drivers in Surakarta City. The method in this study uses a type of observational quantitative research with a cross sectional study design which will be carried out in May 2023 to June 2023 with a population of 249 people with as many as 151 people. Retrieval of this data using primary a data collection techniques accidental sampling which is then analyzed. The results of the analysis test used this shows, there is no relationship between age and the incidence of MSDs (pvalue = 0.547), there is no relationship between body mass index and the incidence MSDs (p-value = 0.072), there is no relationship between smoking habits and incidence of MSDs (p-value=0.096), there is no relationship between length of service and incidence of MSDs (p-value = 0.772), there is no relationship between work posture and occurrence of MSDs (p-value=0.058). Thus it can be concluded that no There is a relationship between age, BMI, smoking habits, years of service, and work posture Surakarta City BST bus driver however there may be variables that affect the incidence of MSDs. Suggestions for always improving Ergonomic feasibility, worker health and driver stretching before and after driving
