Abstract

The existence of city parks is very important in urban design. In addition to functioning as a public facility, city parks are also very important in their existence when viewed from various aspects. Based on Law No.26 of 2007 expressly mandates 30% of the city area in the form of Green Open Space (RTH), 20% public RTH and 10% private RTH. This research took place at the public RTH of Pangkalan Bun City, which consisted of Taman Kota Manis, Taman Monumen Palagan Sambi, Tugu Pancasila, Taman Pangkalan Bun, Taman Istana Pangeran Mangkubumi, and Taman Istana Kuning. From initial observations made by researchers along with the rapid growth rate of the population of Pangkalan Bun city, most of the Taman Kota RTH facilities still leave some problems in unmaintained, damaged, and dirty conditions with garbage piles and lack of catchment areas. This is certainly very detrimental to the community and the environment, considering that this city park is a public facility that must be optimized properly. To increase visits and utilization of Pangkalan Bun City Parks, action is needed for change or revitalization. For this reason, this research was carried out with the aim of: 1) Analyzing the distribution of Green Open Space (RTH) Public Pangkalan Bun City Park; 2) Analyze public perception of Pangkalan Bun City Park Public Green Open Space (RTH) facilities; 3) Analyze the land use of Green Open Space (RTH) Public Taman Kota Pangkalan Bun. The research method used is quantitative research with descriptive surveys. The results of this study based on the distribution pattern of public RTH in urban parks found that it was a random pattern. Based on the perception of park visitors to the comfort level, the six parks are overall classified as comfortable. However, judging from several factors, Palagan Sambi Monument Park has an exploratory percentage of comfort levels less than other parks. Then the function of using public RTH parking lots, city parks in the parking lots of Taman Kota Manis, Palagan Sambi Monument, Pancasila Monument, and Pangkalan Bun Park are not in accordance with the proper land use function. Then in Taman Kota Manis, Palagan Sambi Monument, Pancasila Monument, and Pangkalan Bun Park in the use of land for street swords is still not in accordance with its actual function.
