Abstract

Clinical practice is the experience taken by nursing students with the aim of applying nursing material and acquiring professional skills. Students have difficulty adapting to face-to-face learning after the Covid-19 pandemic because they are used to taking online lectures. Students need stress reduction services that are easy and can be done anywhere. A study shows that internet- or electronic-based stress reduction interventions have proven effective in reducing stress significantly. (Rachmawati & Aristina, 2021). This study aims to determine differences in anxiety levels in students before clinical practice before and after being given the Mindfulness application. This type of research is quantitative with a pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study were students of the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta nursing study program with a total of 30 respondents. The research instrument used was the HRS-A (Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety) questionnaire. In this study, the female sex was more dominant, namely 23 women 76.7% and 7 men 23.3%. It is known that the age of the most respondents is 19 years, namely 22 people (73.3%). There was a decrease in the level of anxiety before being given treatment with an average of 24.29 and after being given treatment with an average of 15.00. The results of this study are also in line with the results of several studies which prove that the Mindfulness mobile application can reduce anxiety levels.
