Abstract
Self-confidence is an individual's confidence in his ability to face his environment and problems without hesitation. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self-esteem and gratitude with student confidence. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a relationship between self-esteem and gratitude with self-confidence. This study used a correlational quantitative approach and used three measuring tools, namely the Self-Confidence Scale, Self-Esteem Scale, and Gratitude Scale. The sampling technique used is cluster accidental sampling. The data analysis used is multiple regression analysis. The samples used in this study were students of Geography, Communication Science, Islamic Education, and Qur'an and Tafsir study programs totaling ±355 people. Results showed there was a significant relationship between self-esteem, gratitude, and self-confidence and Sig values. 0.00 (p<0.01) means that the major hypothesis is accepted. There was a significant positive relationship between self-esteem and self-confidence with Pearson Correlation (r) values of 0.497 and Sig. 0.000 (p<0.01) meaning that the minor hypothesis of self-esteem and self-confidence was accepted. there was a significant positive relationship between gratitude and confidence with Pearson Correlation (r) values of 0.664 and Sig. 0.000 (p<0.01) means that the minor hypothesis of gratitude and confidence is accepted.
