Abstract

broiler chicken breeders in order to realize an increase in the economy. The benefit of this research is the proposed empowerment model to improve the economic level of broiler breeders in Semarang Regency. This research was conducted in Semarang Regency. The method used for sampling is cluster random sampling or taking a representative sample of three farmer scales, which include small, medium and large scale. The sample used in this study amounted to 100 people. The method used in this study is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) which is a multivariate statistical approach to analyze and build models in which there are complex relationships between variables. The independent variables in this study were farmer performance improvement, institutional strengthening, partnership service satisfaction and farmer motivation. The dependent variable in this study is farmer empowerment and economic improvement. The results showed that the variables increasing farmer performance, institutional strengthening, partnership service satisfaction and farmer motivation had a positive and significant effect on empowerment and the variable farmer empowerment had a positive and significant effect on economic improvement. Empowerment and farmer performance improvement variables have the highest t-values, which are 4.631 and 4.410 respectively, so these two variables must be prioritized.
