Abstract

Sukoharjo is a city in Central Java that has the advantage of a well-known texstil industry including PT. SRITEX. One of the problems that must be addressed is the issue of occupancy or residence. The advancement of industry in an area cannot be separated from the influences that arise, one of which is the problem of urbanization which affects the problem of housing as a place to live. The Sukoharjo Regency Government in its handling provides solutions by providing vertical housing as a solution to handling urbanization problems. Rusunawa Joho is a form of handling urbanization in Sukoharjo Regency. However, even so, Rusunawa Joho also has a handful of problems that must be faced, problems in land management, building humidity, cleanliness and various other social problems have begun to arise. Based on some data obtained through observation, literature studies and case studies found that the behavior of rusunawa users is also influenced by living conditions. Therefore, the application of the concept of Behavioral Architecture is a relevant method because the emphasis is on needs and forming better habits so as to improve the quality of life for the residents of Rusunawa Joho, Sukoharjo Regency.
