Abstract
Cylinder Boom is a hydraulic system actuator in the form of a cylinder located on the excavator boom. The function of the cylinder boom is to move forward and backward from the arm itself. Cylinder boom components include cylinder head, cylinder tube (body), piston rod (piston rod), piston, o-ring and seal, brake bushing, piston locking pin. Arm movement is carried out by the boom cylinder. The arm movement system is regulated by the boom in valve and boom out valve located on the control valve. The boom will make a lifting motion if the boom out valve is open while the boom in valve is closed. Fluid will flow from the boom out valve and press the piston, vice versa for the down boom movement. The damage to the boom cylinder is in the form of no power when moving up and down the boom, and the boom cylinder has oil seeping between the boom cylinders. damaged rings and seals. Then the damage can be overcome by replacing the o-rings and seals with new ones, while for the hydraulic cylinder it is enough to clean it.
