Abstract

Ponggok Village is a village in Klaten Regency. This village has abundant water potential, therefore this village is being developed as a water tourism village. Apart from being used as a tourist spot, this abundant water source is hoped to be used for other things such as street lighting. At present, the need for electrical energy is greatly increasing over time with the number of people in Indonesia. Therefore, to save electricity expenditure, it is necessary to have renewable energy as a substitute for fossil energy. Renewable energy itself is energy that comes from natural resources that are used continuously and will not run out. The research objective of this final project is to make the most of the renewable energy available in Ponggok Village, Klaten Regency to the fullest for village street lighting which is still inadequate. The natural resources used in this study include water and sun which can be used as a Hybrid Power Plant (PLTH). PLTH here uses a combination of micro-hydro (PLTmH) and also the sun or what can be called solar panels or photovoltaic (PLTS). The comparison parameters used in this study are measured manually using a measuring instrument and automatically using a sensor. The average error rate for manual measurements using measuring devices and automatic measurements using sensors is not much different, which is around 6%, so the accuracy rate is also high, reaching 94%.
