Abstract
Stunting is a nutritional problem that is still a global concern because of its high prevalence. Efforts to deal with stunting are being carried out by the government to achieve the target of 14% in 2024, namely by intervening with mothers before and during pregnancy. Mother's knowledge regarding nutritional intake in children is an important factor in preventing stunting. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of providing leaflet media on the level of mother's knowledge about stunting in Wirogunan Village, Sukoharjo Regency. The type of research used is Quasi Experiment with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design approach. The population in this study were mothers who had toddlers in Wirogunan Village, Sukoharjo Regency. The sample in this study was selected using a purposive sampling technique, obtaining a minimum sample of 32 respondents, and this study used a sample of 74 mothers under five in Wirogunan Village. The results showed that the average value before being given leaflet media education was 6.36 and the average after being given education was 8.32, and had a mean differential value of 1.96 and the results of the Paired Sample Ttest with a P-Value of 0.0001 ≤ 0.05 using the 95% confidence level. Thus it can be concluded that there is an effect of providing leaflet media on the knowledge of mothers under five in efforts to prevent stunting in Wirogunan Village, Sukoharjo Regency. Provision of health education through leaflet media can be stated to have an effect on increasing mother's knowledge in preventing stunting in Wirogunan Village. Further research needs to be carried out with improvements to research methods to strengthen evidence of the effect of health education using leaflets by increasing the knowledge of mothers of toddlers about stunting.
