Abstract

Background: Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) is a heart surgery which is a method of treating coronary artery disease. Coronary heart disease (CHD) is a disease caused by plaque that builds up in the coronary arteries that supply oxygen to the heart muscle. According to the 2013 Basic Health Research, the prevalence of coronary heart disease is the seventh highest non-communicable disease (NCD) in Indonesia. The method used in this research is Scoping Review. In this study, researchers investigated post-coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) rehabilitation methods with a physical activity program with 2 variables, namely the independent variable and the dependent variable, coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) independent variable and the dependent variable of physical activity. The results of this study selected 10 articles that discussed post-CABG physical activity to be processed for review, several stages as attached in the review table according to the existing PICO. The purpose of this study is to critically review the literature related to post-CABG physical activity methods in various conditions so that they can be used as material for consideration of effective recommendations regarding post-CABG rehabilitation methods. The conclusion from this study is that post-CABG physical activity training is important in order to increase physical functional capacity, cardiac functional capacity, and activity functional capacity.
