Abstract

As time goes by, technological advancements are progressing rapidly. The development of information technology is being utilized by organizations and companies to support their goals. The Penggung Village Government is leveraging web-based information system technology to address issues related to manual public complaints handling. The objective of this research is to design a web-based system for public complaints in Penggung Village, replacing the current manual complaint system with a more modern approach.The web-based public complaints information system in Penggung Village follows the waterfall method, which consists of several stages. These stages include system requirement analysis, system design, implementation, integration and testing, as well as operation and maintenance. The system design is based on the Entity-Relationship Diagram (ERD) model. The programming languages used to develop this application are PHP, HTML, CSS, and the database system is MySQL.The research has resulted in a web- based application for the public complaints information system in Penggung Village, which has been tested using black box testing and the system usability scale. The functional testing through black box testing has been successful, and the usability scale testing has yielded a score of 85, indicating that the information system has good usability.
