Abstract

The aims of this research are (1) to describe the forms of expressive speech acts in the film dialogue “KKN in the Dancer Village” by SimpleMan; (2) formulating the functions of expressive speech acts in the dialogue film "KKN in the Dancer Village" by SimpleMan. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The research examines expressive utterances, namely dialogue utterances in the film "KKN in the Dancer Village" by SimpleMan. Source of data in the dialogue film "KKN in the Dancer Village" by SimpleMan. The technique of collecting data is using the technique of listening freely and proficiently. The data analysis technique is pragmalinguistic Charles Morris model in the form of data identification, data categorization, data analysis, and drawing conclusions. The results and discussion show that the form of expressive speech acts in the dialogue film "KKN in the Dancer Village" by SimpleMan contains 123 data consisting of utterances: (1) expressive speech acts of complaining (21%), (2) expressive speech acts of blaming (20%), (3) expressive speech act of criticizing (18%), (4) expressive speech act of satire (16%), (5) expressive speech act of apology (13%), (6) expressive speech act of thanking (7%) , and (7) mock expressive speech acts (5%). In the dialogue of the film "KKN in the Dancer Village" by SimpleMan, he likes to complain, blame, and criticize instead of criticizing, apologizing, thanking, and ridiculing because it is the nature of Indonesians who have a hobby of complaining, blaming, and criticizing others.
