Abstract

Central Java Province has become the province with the largest number of PLWHA in Indonesia, in improving the quality of development services for PLWHA provided to people with HIV/AIDS. With the existence of negative to discriminatory stigma from the community towards their disease, PLWHA experience feelings of unrest because of fear, shame, anger and disappointment. To respond to this displeasure, change must be introduced, in which to achieve it three aspects are needed, namely self-confidence, flexibility and curiosity. The Lantern Rehabilitation House in Surakarta City is a place that accommodates, rehabilitates, and facilitates PLHIV. Education about HIV/AIDS in the community has an important role where providing appropriate education about HIV/AIDS can help PLHIV from a psychological perspective. With the Rehabilitation House being used as an HIV AIDS Rehabilitation Center in Surakarta City, it is a place that facilitates and can realize it in the form of Rehabilitation Center facilities that are combined with a good environment in supporting PLHIV in the healing process.
