Abstract

Personal problems experienced by students make their learning motivation decrease. The presence of the Counseling Guidance Teacher role is necessary so that student learning motivation increases by establishing good interpersonal communication. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of interpersonal communication of counseling teachers on learning motivation of class VII at SMP Negeri 2 Sidoharjo Sragen. The theory used is Self Disclosure This study used a quantitative method in which data were collected through questionnaires distributed to students who were determined based on stratified random sampling, while the minimum sample obtained through the slovin formula was 70. The results of hypothesis testing and analysis of research data showed that interpersonal communication of guidance and counseling teachers had a positive effect and significantly to the learning motivation of class VII students at SMP N 2 Sidoharjo Sragen.
