Abstract
School zoning is a policy of the Ministry of Education regulated in Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number 14 of 2018 concerning Acceptance of New Students in Kindergartens, Elementary Schools, Junior High Schools, High Schools, Vocational High Schools or equivalent. This rule has been in effect since 2018.. SD Negeri 01 Penarik only gets two study groups with four hamlets out of the five hamlets in Penarik Village. Every year, SD Negeri 01 experiences a very significant decrease in the number of students. It is known that more than one class has been closed due to a lack of students entering each new student admission. This is inseparable from the zoning policy. The aim of the study was to analyze the spatial distribution of the students' origins at SD Negeri 01 Penarik and to find out the trend of new students at SD Negeri 01 Penarik. The method used was a quantitative case study approach, using secondary data. Data collection methods are observation and documentation. The analysis technique used is coding. The results of the study found that there was a decrease in the acceptance of new students at SD Negeri 01 Penarik from the 2018-2019 school year to the 2022-2023 school year. The biggest decrease occurred in the 2022-2023 school year with the number of new student admissions of 19 students. There are 4 hamlets out of 5 hamlets which are the origin of the distribution of student admissions
