Abstract

Kreasi Kayuku is one of the SMEs engaged in the processing of wood into wall hangings in the Boyolali area. The tools and machines used have the potential for work accidents that threaten the safety of employees so that handling is needed so as to minimize the occurrence of work accidents. This study uses the Hazard Identification Risk Assessment and Risk Control method and the Fault Tree Analysis method approach. The results showed that there were 36 hazards, namely in the design area there was 1 hazard, in the wood cutting frame area there were 11 hazards, in the playwood cutting area there were 14 hazards, in the painting area there were 7 hazards, and in the finishing area there were 3 hazards. The results of the risk assessment found in the Kayuku Kreasi production area at the design work station were 1 (2.78%) hazard with the moderate risk category. At the wood cutting frame work station, there are 3 (8.33%) hazards in the low risk category, 4 (11.11%) hazards in the moderate risk category, 3 (8.33%) hazards in the high risk category, and 1 (2) .78%) hazard with extreme risk category. In the cutting playwood work station area, there are 5 (13.89%) hazards in the low risk category, 7 (19.44%) hazards in the moderate risk category, 1 (2.78%) hazard in the high risk category, and 1 (2) .78%) hazard with extreme risk category. At the painting work station, there are 3 (8.33%) hazards in the low risk category, 3 (8.33%) hazards in the moderate risk category, and 1 (2.78%) hazard in the high risk category. At the finishing work station there are 2 (5.56%) hazards in the low risk category and 1 (2.78%) hazard in the high risk category. Analysis using the FTA method focuses on work activities that have a high and extreme level of risk. Also, a form of risk limitation is carried out in all work activities based on a hierarchy of controls, namely, tidying up machine cutting cables, creating special areas for laying waste materials, making hazard warning signs, and using complete PPE.
