Abstract

Media is a tool for teachers in providing increased learning knowledge to students. The aims of this study were: (1) To find out students' abilities regarding knowledge of flora and fauna material. (2) To know the role of learning video media in imparting knowledge of flora and fauna material to students. Researchers in conducting this study used a type of quantitative research with a quasi-experimental model in the form of one group pretest-posttest. Researchers conduct data analysis in the form of test data validation tests, the purpose of the validation test is to find out valid data and can be used by researchers to conduct research. Data validation tests were in the form of: test the validity of the questions, test the reliability of the questions, the discriminating power of the questions, and the level of difficulty of the questions. The results showed 1) Based on the test results in the form of pretest and posttest, it showed that the level of students' knowledge ability in understanding flora and fauna material had a significant difference in value. of 83.17. From the results of these two data it can be concluded that there is a difference between the pretest and posttest values. 2) Based on the hypothesis testing using the paired sample test, the result of t count is 0.000 with a confidence level of 95% (α = 0.05), meaning 0.000 <0.05 so that a decision can be made that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted so that it can be concluded that the media Animated videos can give students knowledge in understanding flora and fauna material.
