Abstract

This study aims to describe teacher and student perceptions of distance learning in geography subjects at SMA N 1 Bae Kudus. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative. Collecting data by using questionnaires and interviews with two teachers and students of class X and XI majoring in Social Sciences. Data collection instrument with Likert scale. The results showed that the features of media technology in increasing intimacy through online media during the covid-19 pandemic at SMA N 1 Bae Kudus were not good because the acceptance of material presented by the teacher to students had problems using cellphones, signals and did not understand the use of the application. Lack of technical skills among teachers is another important reason and teachers' teaching styles and communication between teachers and students are not going well.
