Abstract

Children who drop out of school has been a lot of us meet in any city, a child who dropped out of school is a child who when in the course of his studies it has not been completed in time or it can be said that he is a student who did not finish in completing his education. Based on data from the Regional Development Planning and Research Agency (BAPPEDA) in Surakarta city, around 1,519 are children who have dropped out of school and 742 are children who have not touched education at all. Therefore, the authors propose the concept of designing a Training Center for dropout children. This concept will help children who drop out of school to get a more decent job, as well as help improve the quality of human resources in the city of Surakarta. The methods used in this report are literature study, observation, documentation, data processing, and comparative study with other training centers. The results obtained, namely the design of the school dropout Training Center in the city of Surakarta with Eco Architecture approach that is applied to the concept of mass composition, the concept of energy savings, using natural elements both in materials, ideas, and concepts as the application of Eco Architecture. The end result of this design is a dropout Training Center building in accordance with the standards of training centers
