Abstract

Over the past year, the construction of the Jami and Agung mosques has been carried out in various cities in Indonesia. However, large mosques which are generally classified as grand mosques are not suitable for congregational activities other than mahd prayers such as obligatory prayers, Friday prayers, zakat and fasting. treatment, travel, etc. It is very difficult to find a large mosque that is friendly and supports religious activities. The condition of the mosque being realized now is that it is designed as a place of worship only for mahdahs, with a large-scale design so that as many people as possible can pray in the mosque. Functionally, very few designs of large mosques with secular spaces are actually created for religious worship in the mosque area. The mosque literally functions as a place of prostration. The meaning of prostration is not limited to worship, but worship performed for the purpose of servitude and worship also includes prostration. Mosques should grow and provide solutions to the economic inequality that exists in the surrounding community. Banjarsari District, a district in Solo, is an area with a fairly high number of homeless people. The Banjarsari region also experienced an increase in poverty during this period. As a basic mosque design, a prophetic architectural approach is needed, especially in village mosques which emphasize three prophetic ethical values, namely Humanization (calling for goodness), Liberation (preventing evil), and transcendence (spiritual values are vertical). Obtaining space that meets medical activities and community needs can be done using a prophetic social science approach.
