Abstract

Ngawi Regency is one of the regencies in East Java Province which has various tourism potentials or assets that can be developed as educational or educational facilities. One of them that is widely known by the public is Jamus Tea Plantation Agrotourism. This Jamus Tea Plantation agrotourism has attracted quite a lot of enthusiasts but lack of management so that it has an impact on limited facilities for visitors. The Jamus Tea Plantation area is a good forum for the people of Ngawi district and its surroundings as a means of recreation, educational and promotional media as well as a way to preserve tea gardens to minimize the decline in the area of tea plantations with other more valuable commodities. A design approach that leads to sustainable architecture is increasingly needed. In this case, architectural ecology is used as a principle for designing agro-tourism areas that incorporate environmental aspects as one of the main considerations in designing. Thus providing the continuity of a synergistic relat ionship between humans, areas, buildings, and the environment. The method used in the research process and data collection is a Qualitative Descriptive method which aims to reveal events or facts, circumstances, incidents, and phenomena in the field and obtain data, so that a design is produced that is capable of solving problems. With the development of agro-tourism in the Jamus Tea Plantation, this will become a ourist destination that provides benefits for increasing the income of the community and the government.
