Abstract

The redesign of the commercial building Rukan La Riviera in the PIK 2 Extension area of Tangerang Regency with a bioclimatic architecture approach and energy efficiency specifications is the focus of this study. The objective of this research is to evaluate how the bioclimatic architecture approach can improve energy efficiency in commercial buildings and determine the energy efficiency specifications that can be achieved through this approach. The research methodology used in this study includes literature review, building component analysis, and energy simulation. Data was collected through literature review on bioclimatic architecture and energy efficiency, as well as analysis of building components such as facade, roof, and ventilation system to determine the desired energy efficiency specifications. Energy simulation was then conducted to examine the building performance with these specifications. The results indicate that a bioclimatic architecture approach with energy efficiency specifications can improve energy efficiency in commercial buildings. Changes to building components such as facade, roof, and ventilation system can reduce energy consumption by up to 30%, as well as lower building operational costs. Energy simulation shows that the proposed energy efficiency specifications can result in a more energy-efficient building performance. In conclusion, a bioclimatic architecture approach with energy efficiency specifications can improve energy efficiency in commercial buildings. The redesign of Rukan La Riviera with this approach can serve as an example of how to reduce energy consumption and operational costs of buildings while also improving environmental quality.
