Abstract

Coworking space is a shared work space that is used by a variety of professional workers, especially workers who have flexible work contexts and students to do their assignments. In Surakarta there is still a minimum number of coworking spaces compared to the interest of students and existing workers, so there is a need for additional coworking space buildings. Surakarta is one of the cities that is quite hot, it is necessary to implement green building in the aspect of eco-friendly materials. Eco-friendly materials are natural materials which can come from nature, 3R (Regenerative, Reuse, Recycle), etc. The purpose of this research is to design a coworking space in Surakarta with Eco-friendly materials in the form of natural materials that undergo simple transformations, namely bricks, natural materials namely bamboo, wood, rattan, and 3R materials (Regenerative, Reuse, Recycle) as one of the manifestations of friendly buildings environment or green building in Surakarta.
