Abstract
The aims if this study to describe value of character education in the comment column of the Instagram account @arumibachsin_94 and the utilization of the value of character education in the comment column of the Instagram account @arumibachsin_94 as a teaching module for class VII Indonesian independence curriculum in junior high school. The urgency of this research is to underlie the view that the value of character education on Instagram accounts provides many lessons that can make students easily understand the information in the comments column and analyze it through the value of character education. This study uses a qualitative description approach. The data collection technique used is listening and note-taking, the listening technique is in searching for data by listening to a language while the note-taking technique is writing the data obtained. The data analysis technique used is the equivalent method. The use of the equivalent method under study does have a correlation with things outside the bound language, regardless of the characteristics of the correlation. The results of the study show that (1) the value of character education in the comments column of the @arumibachsin_94 Instagram account is divided into eighteen. namely 1) religious, 2) honest, 3) tolerance, 4) discipline, 5) hard work, 6) creative, 7) independent, 8) democratic, 9) curiosity, 10) national spirit, 11) love of the motherland , 12) appreciate achievement, 13) friendly/communicative, 14) love peace, 15) like to read, 16) care for the environment, 17) social care, and 18) responsibility and (2) the value of character education found in the account comments column instagram @arumibachsin_94 can be used as a teaching module for class VII Indonesian in semester 1, especially for response text material that helps broaden learning. The percentage of 31 data used in this study.
