Abstract

A special kidney or nephrology hospital is a hospital that provides primary services in a particular field or disease, namely “Kidney Disease” which is based on scientific disciplines, organs, types of kidney disease suffered by patients, ae category of patients, and other specialties. The methods used are field observations, literature studies related to Ministry of Health regulations regarding hospital design, and architectural precedent studies. The purpose of designing a special kidney hospital is to provide the best service for the community, especially people with kidney disease amidst the increase in chronic kidney disease in a adults and children in Indonesia. The approach taken in this design is “ Healing Environment” which aims to create an environment and mass of buildings that can support the patient’s healing process through a combination of 3 elements which include nature, senses, and psychology. The result of this design is the creation of mass Kidney Special Hospital in accordance with the regulation of the Minister of Health by implementing the “Healing Environment” approach, so that comfort is created for patients and can help heal patients both medically and non-medically.
