Abstract
The waste problem is still a problem in Indonesia. Garbage collection occurs in several inappropriate places, which can cause problems in the community. Garbage is the residue of human daily activities and/or natural processes in solid form. Garbage often refers to unwanted or useless materials left by people after completing work or household processes. Undesirable materials in industrial waste are often referred to as industrial waste. With an automatic trash can, a volume monitoring system for trash cans can be made using Arduino Uno as a monitor for the condition of the trash cans being full. Besides that, this trash can will open automatically when you are about to take out the trash and make a sound as an indicator. This tool utilizes ultrasonic sensors to measure distance and volume, then it is processed using an Arduino Uno and will provide output in the form of text on the LCD, movement with a servo motor, and sound with a speaker. With this tool, the activity of disposing of garbage will be easier and more enjoyable so that people will prefer to throw garbage in its place.
