Abstract
The curriculum is the foundation for education to achieve the goals that have been formulated. The independent curriculum is a new curriculum that was set in February 2022 so that it requires teachers to be ready for its implementation. This study aims to describe the implementation of the independent curriculum in fiqh learning class X (phase E) at Muhammadiyah Vocational High School Kartasura in the 2022/2023 academic year and its supporting and inhibiting factors. This type of research is the researcher qualitative research that takes a background at SMK Muhammadiyah Kartasura. Data collected from observations, interviews and documentation. The data analysis was carried out by the stages of classifying, presenting and verifying the data. Test the validity of the data using source and technique triangulation. Based on the results of the study, it was shown that Islamic Fiqh Religious Education teachers at Muhammadiyah Kartasura Vocational School were in accordance with the independent curriculum formulation. This is evidenced in the suitability of the formulation of Graduate Competency Standards, Content Standards, Process Standards and Assessment Standards in the field with the independent curriculum formulation. In the SKL which is formulated in the independent curriculum contains 3 aspects, namely attitudes, knowledge and skills, PAI teachers have implemented these three aspects. The content standards are adopted from the formulation of the independent curriculum even though the Muhammadiyah School has an ISMUBA curriculum in Islamic Religious Education subjects, but the ISMUBA curriculum is patterned as an independent curriculum. The process standards applied from planning, implementation to evaluation are based on the provisions of the independent curriculum by adhering to the guidebook available atplatform Freedom to Teach. The assessment standards applied in the Islamic fiqh religious education at SMK Muhammadiyah Kartasura are also in accordance with the formulation in the learning assessment guidebook published by the Ministry of Education and Culture and Research and Technology. While the supporting factors for the implementation of the independent curriculum in the fiqh subject phase E at Muhammadiyah Kartasura Vocational School include; The availability of teacher learning facilities in designing learning and sharing good practices through the Merdeka Mengajar platform is one of the supporting factors for the implementation of the independent curriculum. Then there are factors that are considered as obstacles in the implementation of the independent curriculum, namely the lack of mastery of teacher skills in designing varied learning strategies so that students do not feel bored.
