Abstract
The use of Javanese among adolescents is declining rapidly in the current era of modernization, many changes have been made to how technology is used in everyday life. There is interesting Youtube content for the audience to know, namely the Comedy Sunday Youtube channel which uses the Javanese language by creating positive and educational content about the use of the Javanese language and the level of Javanese speech. By choosing 4 informants as subjects and the Comedy Sunday channel as research objects. This study used a qualitative research method with a descriptive research approach and reception analysis. This study aims to find out how the audience's reception regarding the use of regional languages in the Youtube Comedy Sunday content "Java Jawa Jawa" in the meaning of Javanese speech. This research will use reception analysis theory from Stuart Hall with 3 categories: (1) Dominant Hegemonic is a situation where the audience fully accepts what is given by the message writer. (2) Negotiated Reading is a situation where the audience accepts the meaning that the message maker wants to convey but tries to change it to suit their wishes (3) Oppositional Position indicates that the message seen or heard by the audience is rejected or opposed. The results of this study are that 3 informants are included in the Dominant Hegemonic, 1 informant is a Negotiated Reading and no informant has an Oppositional Position perspective.
