Abstract
Housewives play a role as financial regulators in the family, it is important for housewives to managed expenses by suppressing impulse purchases which have a negative impact on family. In this case the researcher conducted a study aiming to determine the relationship between conformity and impulsive buying behavior in housewives. The research method used is a correlational quantitative approach with incidental sampling data collection techniques with a sample of 138 housewives and working mothers, having children, aged more than 20 years, and domiciled in the Surakarta Residency. The research instrument used was a questionnaire with a scale of gadget addiction, self-control and academic procrastination which was adapted and modified by the researcher. Data analysis in this research uses simple regression analysis. With the result that there is a significant relationship between conformity and impulsive buying behavior in housewives, testing the hypothesis using SPSS shows an F result of 5.608 and a significance result of 0.019 with a coefficient of determination of 0.207 so that the hypothesis can be accepted. The results of the categorization show that impulsive buying behavior has a low categorization, while the conformity variable has a moderate categorization
