Abstract

The rapid development of urban areas has led to an increase in the value of the population's demand for housing or housing. Due to the lack of availability of housing for low-income people, illegal buildings are organically formed in border areas, such as river banks with low quality construction. Where the border area is not a place intended for building buildings. The conditions of very dense settlements with low construction quality and inadequate infrastructure, facilities and public utilities give the impression of a slum. This study aims to plan and design settlement arrangements on the banks of the Pepe River Kalirahman RT 1- 3 RW 5, Gandekan Village, Jebres District, Surakarta City. The analysis used in this research is macro analysis, micro analysis and spatial analysis. Micro analysis includes view concept analysis, vegetation analysis, wind analysis and solar analysis. While spatial analysis such as zoning, landscape layout, street furniture, patterns of behavior activities, layout of public facilities, needs and size of space. The space requirements for settlements on the Pepe River Kalirahman RT 1-3 RW 5, Gandekan Village, Jebres District, Surakarta City are to provide a reading garden, garden, parking area, toilet/MCK and prayer room. Apart from that, they also carried out road repairs, and especially the rearrangement of residents' houses.
