Abstract
Investment is an act of releasing money which has the hope of obtaining profits in the future, investment is also one of the factors in the formation of stable and equitable economic growth. In Banten Province, there are industries that cause many investors to invest their capital to make a profit. This study aims to estimate the direction and magnitude of the influence of HDI, MSEs, Proportion of GDP in the Service Sector, Proportion of GDP in the Industrial Sector, and Unemployment on Investment in Banten Province in 2016-2020 using regression panel data and selected Fixed Effect Model (FEM) estimation models. The results of this study show that the Human Development Index (HDI), District/City Minimum Wage (UMK) affect investment. Meanwhile, the Proportion of GDP in the Service Sector (GRDP), the Proportion of GDP in the Industrial Sector (PDRBI) and Unemployment (UEMP) does not affect investment in Banten Province. The government is expected to harmonize employers and workers to feel balanced in determining the minimum wage level. The balance of labor wages will affect production costs so that it will attract investors to invest their capital, this causes even distribution of economic growth in Banten Province.
