Abstract

Presence is an instrument that can be used as an indicator for monitoring employee discipline. Discipline knowledge will help in determining employee salaries. This is very much needed by new business entities that generally use attendance manuals using employee signatures. The use of manual presence can create loopholes for fraud. Therefore, a presence is needed which can reduce the incidence of fraud by utilizing current smartphones using Quick Response codes or what are called QR codes. This system utilizes telegram software in creating QR codes. Meanwhile, on hardware, reading using the ESP32-CAM sensor. Data information as security verification, namely device ID, employee number, time and distance can be stored in a QR code. Data results are sent and stored in Google Sheets as a database that can only be accessed by the company admin. Tests in making QR codes have an average processing time of 5.807 seconds and the best image margin results on a file size of 500 pixels is 50 pixels. The average time required for scanning is 6.42 seconds. Meanwhile, the distance for scanning images that are easy to read is 8 to 15 centimeters. OLED also works well displaying information and a buzzer that only sounds after it has been successfully verified. Time data presence sent and stored for 20 days succeeded in placing the correct columns and rows on the spreadsheet.
