Abstract

Throughout the history of the existence of mosques for Muslims, they were not limited to symbols of Islam, mosques functioned in bringing about change and were able to create societal, civilizational and spiritual progress of the people, especially in terms of education, moreover seeing the enthusiasm of the Islamic community which began to show a lot of desire to deepen religious knowledge or what is often heard with migration. Concern about the existence of a mosque with minimal function shows the quality of its management is so low, and even worse if the mosque exists only as an icon of the fanaticism of a particular group or school of thought. This paper aims to discuss the function of the mosque as a center for Islamic community education that applies to Real Masjid 2.0 Yogyakarta, what educational programs are held and what are the supporting and inhibiting factors in the running of educational programs at Real Masjid 2.0 Yogyakarta. This research is a qualitative research which belongs to the type of field research (Field research). The research data were obtained from the results of observations, interviews and document studies, the research location was in Real Masjid 2.0 Yogyakarta, then the data obtained were analyzed in three stages, namely data reduction, presentation of data and conclusions. The findings of the research show that Real Masjid 2.0 Yogyakarta has attempted to carry out one of its functions as an educational center for the Islamic community as the function exemplified by Rasulullah SAW. Among the educational programs provided are: formal education (kindergarten, elementary, junior high) Khairu Ummah, and non-formal programs in the form of routine studies with the themes of Fiqh, Sirah Nabawiyah, womanhood, muamalat, youth studies, Al-Quran education and special agendas for children and youth, all of which are packaged with cool, relaxed, flexible concepts, close to cultural elements, the environment and a psychological approach. The supporting factors for the implementation of the program in Real Masjid 2.0 are: a) practicing keys 3-6 which is the golden time for the servant and his Lord, b) the mindset of friends regarding favors, c) a compact team, d) a team that dares to try, e) Passion to contribute, f) Willingness to learn, g) Separation between male and female marbots. While the inhibiting factors are: the existence of miscommunication between administrators and obstacles in learning something by being self-taught.
