Abstract
Boom Cylinder is a component of the Excavator, its function is to move the bucket by utilizing hydraulic oil pressure. Through the control valve, hydraulic oil is directed to the boom cylinder, it is in this boom cylinder that the hydraulic pressure is converted into mechanical motion which can eventually move the boom cylinder up or down. The purpose of making this final project report is to find out the type of damage, its causes, and steps to repair the damaged components. The research method is to make observations on the unit, then the results of these observations can become the basis for analyzing damage problems. To find out more details about the components that are damaged, disassembly must be carried out, in this case, the LS Pilot Valve Solenoid disassembly which is located on the main pump. After the disassembly of these components, damage was found, namely the filter on the dirty solenoid which resulted in a blockage and the fluid could not flow properly. The corrective step is to clean the component. Preventive measures so that the same problem does not occur in the future, namely by carrying out daily checks and periodic maintenance procedures.
