Abstract
Islam is a natural religion. One of these traits is the human tendency towards beauty, both in the form of natural beauty, the beauty of living things and the beauty of a melodious voice. Art was born from instinctive impulses or human nature that was bestowed by Allah SWT. Art in the category of material means includes tools that influence the present. Talking about music, if we pay attention, we will find that every human being is interested in entertainment, especially in the art of music or singing. Things like this are because music can influence one's emotions and behavior. Therefore, Muslims must realize that the art of music in Islam has limitations that need to be maintained so that they are in accordance with the will of syara'. In fact, whether or not musical instruments are used in a song is a problem that has long been debated by Islamic scholars. They agreed to forbid any songs that are pornographic, evil, or that encourage immoral acts, because singing is words. Therefore, good words are good and bad words are also bad. All words that contain the prohibition of those words are also forbidden. One verse that alludes to singing and music is explained in QS. Luqma ̅n (31): 6, this verse is quite representative of the other verses related to this problem. Contemporary mufassir who took part in contributing knowledge to the interpretation of al-hadi ̅ṡ in QS. Luqman (31) verse 6 is Muhammad Tabataba'I, Sheikh Abu Bakar Jabir al-Jazairi, and Buya Hamka. This study aims to find out the interpretation, similarities, and differences of lahwa al-hadith in QS. Luqman verse 6 according to Muhammad Thaba'thabai, Sheikh Abu Bakar Jabir al-Jazairi and Buya Hamka. This research is a qualitative research using library research and comparative analysis, using Muhammad Thabathabai's Al-Mizan interpretation, Aisar Tafasir by Sheikh Abu Bakar Jabir al-Jazairi and Al-Azhar interpretation by Buya Hamka as primary data. The results of the study show the conclusion that Muhammad Thaba'thabai interprets lahwa al-hadith in general, namely all talk that distracts from the truth. He mentioned that the lahwa al-hadith includes fairy tales, stories, calling for corruption, and immorality, or something similar such as singing with poetry or the entertainment of Psalms and musical instruments. So it's not just specific to singing. Sheikh Abu Bakar Jabir Al-Jazairi and Imam Al-Qurthubi interpret the lahwal hadith specifically or specifically for singing. The similarity in the interpretation of these three commentators is in the words لَهْوَ ٱلْحَدِيثِ The three interpreters both interpret by singing together to explain that lahwa al-hadith is everything that makes people neglect the truth and the way of Allah. The difference in the interpretation of these three commentators is in the word وَيَتَّخِذَهَا هُزُوًا. Muhammad Thaba'thabai explained that وَيَتَّخِذَهَا هُزُوًا deviates people from the Qur'an, declaring that the Qur'an is nonsense like mere fictional stories. Sheikh Abu Bakar Jabir al-Jazairi also explained that وَيَتَّخِذَهَا هُزُوًا regards Islam, its laws and its book as a mockery. Buya Hamka explained that وَيَتَّخِذَهَا هُزُوًا Makes Religion a mockery.
