Abstract

Each educational institution has different qualities. Based on the intense competition in educational institutions, it has become common place that all educational institutions try to provide the best service for students and the community. This study aims to describe the school's efforts to increase public trust and describe the factors that influence the decline in public trust in MTs Yasin Gemolong. The type of research used is qualitative research with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and document studies. The data validity technique used is source triangulation and method triangulation. The method of data analysis used by researchers is interactive analysis of Miles and Huberman with the following steps, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the school's efforts to increase public trust in MTs Yasin Gemolong are through teacher training through PKB and BIMTEK activities, community relations such as dhuafa compensation, as well as the school's flagship program. In addition, the factors that affect the community's trust in MTs Yasin Gemolong are divided into inhibiting factors and supporting factors. The inhibiting factors include a less strategic location, teacher human resources, infrastructure, promotions carried out, educational staff human resources, and student input. Meanwhile, the supporting factors are affordable prices, parents who want their children to study religion, and the location of the school which is not far from home.
